Need a fireproof trash pile

Hi! First post on haunt forum, and I am looking for help with a prop/set piece.

I am going to be building a platform to stand a giant cockroach on, and also masking a smell producing fog machine. I planned to mask both the platform and the machine using chicken wire and trash attached using liquid nails and great stuff. But My associate raised the concern as to how fire safe that is.

It'd be general trash, like bottles, pizza boxes, paper, plastic bags, etc.

Is there any better way to do this, or is there an effective way to fireproof a fake pile of garbage?
