Default Any tricks to quiet a noisy wiper motor?

I'm using a wiper motor for my cauldron stiring witch and it's a little noisy even when running slow. Anyone know how to quiet or muffle the sound?

Mine is somewhat noisy as well, so I'd be interested in any tips also. I think most people play a soundtrack of some sort and that drowns out the noise. I'll be playing a continouse loop of Macbeth's witch's chant with mine, going to do a test run this weekend of my witch shop to test lighting, etc., so I'll see if it will cover up the wiper motor noise.

I'm writing a chant for mine, which my wife will do the voice over. Hopefully with some bubbling sounds to hide the wiper moter noise. I wonder if I can put some foam over the motor, but I don't want it to over heat.

I'll have to check this thread for updates. Mine was quiet at first but now ( after some banging ) has become quite noisy.

I've noticed that using the 5 volt/5 amp power supply from Monsterguts really quieted my motor down. If you don't mind the slower speed (that's why I got the 5v power supply in the first place) it might be a solution.

Might have to try that. I bought one of those adjustable voltage regs. The end doesn't fit on very tight on the quick connect though. Might need to tape that. I've been running it on I think 6 ( might be 6.4 something ) I had read on here I think where someone said packing it full of grease, not sure which kind.
