Need a crystal ball?
Then get thee to Walgreens 75% off Xmas sale. They have an Xmas gift on clearance called Swirling Lights that really fits the bill. It's a 10" opaque plastic globe with multi colored LEDs inside. Some crumpled foil (I think) in motion inside, gives the appearance of swirling clouds of color changing fog. It has four separate light patterns, including strobe. Cost about $4.95. It was so cool, we ran back and bought the other one they had.
